Each year Friends of Children reaches out to you and our community to support the work we do on behalf of children and young adults in and aging out of foster care.

Lucinda, a CASA volunteer, came in recently to drop off a closed case file representing 2.5 years of promoting the best interests of 3 siblings. Because of Lucinda’s direct advocacy with the Court, school system, attorneys, and DCF, along with support of the family and children, the family was reunited. These cases are rarely straightforward, but the commitment to the children we champion is unwavering.
